Prof. Frédéric Franceschi is a Professor of Medicine and Cardiac Electrophysiologist at Timone Hospital. A recognized expert in heart rhythm disorders, he has dedicated his career to improving AF ablation procedures, particularly by pioneering the use of cryoballoon ablation since its introduction in 2008.

In 2011, he developed an innovative method to monitor diaphragmatic activity during ablation procedures—a breakthrough that significantly reduces the risk of diaphragmatic paralysis. Yet, despite this advance, he saw an essential need: real-time monitoring tools to ensure complete patient safety during these procedures.
